Have You Thanked a Police Officer Lately?
National Thank a Police Officer Day is giving folks a chance to express their gratitude.

They strap on badges and guns in an effort to carry out a mission to protect and serve. Working long shifts at a job that’s often dangerous, police officers aren’t always thanked for what they do.
The Whole Truth Project hopes to remedy the thankless part with its National Thank a Police Officer Day movement. Saturday is the day that’s been set aside to simply say thanks to the men and women in uniform who do their part to keep communities across the country safe.
The movement is taking off on Facebook where law enforcement agencies throughout the Bay area are taking time out to thank their own and others who protect and serve.
