Photo Gallery: Safety Harbor Black Friday Pub Crawl
Nearly 100 revelers gathered at Nantucket Bucket Friday evening before crawling out to a number of establishments downtown.
Normally the point of a pub crawl is to get a bunch of people together to have fun by traveling from one watering hole to another with no particular plan in mind.
But the Black Friday 2012 edition of the Safety Harbor event took the concept one step further, using tee shirt sales and a toy drive to raise money and gather gifts to be disbursed at local charitable organizations.
Proceeds from the shirts will be donated to the Mattie Williams Neighborhood Family Center, while the toys collected will be given to the Toys for Tots program.

"It's a way to have fun and help out," organizer Stacy Roth said as she handed out the popular shirts.Β
Event coordinatorΒ Heather Hildick said she was pleasantly surprised with the turnout, considering it was being held on Black Friday during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

"There's actually more people here than I thought there would be," Hildick said. "It's a great turnout and should be a good time."
The fifth edition of the downtown drinking tour featured both veterans of all five events as well as some newbies; the crowd was also comprised of crawlers who planned to hit all 10 bars and those who were going to bow out after one or two.
"I'm just here to show support for the cause," city commissioner Nancy Besore said. "I won't be in it until the end."
"We're virgin crawlers," Jarine Dotson said. "So I don't know how this is going to turn out."
