Krajewski came up with the correct response — "What is Canterbury?" — and was able to double his total to $18,800. But it wasn't enough: Eventual winner John Anneken, a post-doctoral researcher from Cincinnati, also got it right and edged Krajewski by a mere $111.

Krajewski still added another $2,000 to his winnings as the runner-up.
