Santa Claus is Coming To Town - On a Fire Truck!
Another longstanding community tradition will be observed on Friday and Saturday nights, as St. Nick traverses the Harbor atop a city fire engine.
Two things are true about the city of Safety Harbor - there are a number of longstanding events, and the fire department plays an integral part in many of them.
This weekend, the two truisms collide, as the annual Santa's Fire Truck Tour takes place for the 37th time.
According to the city, Santa's trip will begin Friday evening in the neighborhoods north of Enterprise Road. On Saturday, jolly St. Nick and his fire engine sleigh will hit the areas south of Enterprise.

"We start at one end of town one night, and then we do the other half of the city the next night," Fire Marshal Richard Brock told Patch.
"We go up and down every through street in town," he added. "As long as we can get up and down the street, we do it."

"It's pretty neat to see the kids, and adults, come outside and wave at us as we drive by."
Brock says they use two trucks each night, which take off from opposite ends of each other. The reasoning is simple.
"We don't want to scare the kids by having them see two Santas at the same time."
In the event of rain, Santa's ride will be delayed until Sunday, December 16th.
