What to Know If You Go: Bloom N Art N Chalk Fest
The fifth annual downtown festival will feature dozens of original works created by professional and amateur artists.

Chalk art is considered an under-appreciated medium, perhaps because the works aren't permanent fixtures like paintings, sculptures and photographs.
But ask anyone who's seen some of these pieces being created, almost magically, right before their very eyes, and they'll tell you chalk art is one of the most beautiful forms of expression and creativity there is.
This weekend Safety Harbor residents and visitors will get to witness that experience firsthand, as the fifth annual Bloom N Art N Chalk Fest takes place on Main Street downtown.

"What's neat about this event is it draws different people from all over Pinellas County," Stacy Roth, one of the event organizers, recently told Patch.
The two day festival will kick off Saturday morning and conclude late Sunday afternoon with an awards ceremony at the Gazebo.
