10 Arrested in Sarasota Prostitution Sting

The Sarasota Police Department arrested 10 people this week in a prostitution sting, which also included drug charges.

The Sarasota Police Department arrested 10 people this week in a prostitution sting, which also included drug charges.

In response to community concerns over suspected prostitution activity, on April Wednesday and Thursdday officers conducted a series of prostitution investigations that resulted in the arrest of 10 people.

Arrest charges included prostitution, narcotics violations, and arrest warrants.

Prostitution becomes a felony with the third arrest for prostitution.  

The following individuals were arrested as a result of the investigation:

1. Courtney Nicely, 24: Prostitution (misdemeanor)

2. Teresa Briceland, 49: Prostitution (felony), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

3. Ginger Tillman, 37: Prostitution (misdemeanor)

4. Kristi Arsenault, 21: Prostitution (felony)

5. Cynthia Coleman, 46: Prostitution (misdemeanor)

6. Lakendrick Ruffin, 28: Failure To Appear Warrant (misdemeanor)

7. Julie Ann Lawson-Manning (W/F, 7/16/71): Violation of Probation Warrant (felony)

8.  Norris Wright, 41: Sale of Crack Cocaine

9.  Carl Manthei, 64: Solicitation for Prostitution

10. Seymour Smith, 37: Solicitation for Prostitution, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Tampering with Evidence.
