2 Charged With Murder In Fatal Shooting: Sarasota County Sheriff
Detctives arrested and charged two men with murder in connection with a July 25 fatal shooting in Sarasota, the sheriff's office said.

SARASOTA, FL — Two men were arrested and face charges connected to a July 25 fatal shooting at a home on Regatta Drive in Sarasota.
Damontae Montrell Tillery, 24, of Sarasota and Karriem Jermaine McDowell Jr., 23, of Brooksville were each charged with murder, according to a Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office news release.
Deputies initially responded to reports of an unconscious person at the home.

When they arrived, they found the body of a man, later identified as Edward James Dukes Jr., 47, of Sarasota, with multiple gunshot wounds, the sheriff’s office said.
Detectives identified Tillery and McDowell as the suspects in the shooting and arrested them late Friday. Both men remain in custody at the Sarasota County Correctional Facility.
