4 Members of All-Female Crime Ring Sentenced
The women pleaded guilty to numerous burglaries in 2012 which they said helped fund their prescription drug addictions.
Four members of an all-female crime ring have been sentenced following a two-week crime spree last year involving more than 30 burglaries, Sarasota authorities said Wednesday.
The women were arrested in November 2012 and charged with breaking into homes throughout Sarasota to fund their prescription drug addictions, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office.
The women were accused of targeting homes in the Southgate and stealing cash as well as jewelry and coins, which they told investigators they sold to pawn brokers to fund their Oxycodone addictions.
