5 Things: Play With Your Food At Selby

1. Play with your food today at learning Kae Sa Luk — the art of fruit and vegetable carving. The program runs from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Geldbart Auditorium. Joan Kershaw will lead participants in demonstrations. Kershaw owns Floral Concept in Sarasota where she turns food into flowers and received her training in Thailand.
2. The Baltimore Orioles take on the Pittsburgh Pirates at 1:05 p.m. at today in Spring Training Action. Tickets are available online, at area Walmarts and at the Ed Smith Stadium box office.

4. If you haven't noticed all the action going on at the and Robarts Arena, you're about to. The annual Sarasota County Fair starts Friday and runs through March 25. Gate admission is free Monday through Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. Otherwise it's $8 for adults, $4 for seniors 55 and up, children 6-17 and active military. Children 5 and under are free. Opening day is from 2 to 11 p.m., then noon to 11 p.m. Saturday and noon to 10 p.m. Sunday. Check out all of the events at https://sarasotafair.com.
5. Mark your calendars for the Women’s Resource Center of Sarasota’s fifth annual Frances Kraaymes Lecture called "The Conversation Continues: Men, Women, & Relationships — Forever a Work in Progress." The panel discussion takes place on March 22, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Women’s Resource Center in Sarasota, 340 S. Tuttle Ave. The event is free and open to the public.
