PUNTA GORDA, FL — A Florida woman who just happened to be named Ariel surprised police when she pulled a foot-long alligator out of her yoga pants during a recent traffic stop.

"Not to be outdone by the #FloridaMan, a #FloridaWoman pulled this alligator out of her pants ... after being asked the standard 'Do you have anything else,'" explained the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office.

Twenty-five-year-old Ariel Machan Le-Quire was later sentenced to probation, not only for having the baby alligator in her pants, but also for traveling with 41 three-stripe turtles in a “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle” backpack, according to WGHP-TV.

"Florida version of the chastity belt," observed Dane Grossnickle.

"Is that a gator in your pants, or are you just happy to see me," asked Frank Curry.

Karen Lyon Barnett wanted to know: "Why is it always Florida? Is there something in the water that turns people into a lunatic?"

Another person noted that the gator may be scarred for life as a result of the incident.

"The Florida version of ants in your pants," added Cyndi Miller Hoxie.
