Golden Apple Dinner Theatre Re-opens WIth 'Viagara Falls'

The Golden Apple Celebrity Theatre is proud to announce that it will be in business once again with the New York production of the comedy VIAGARA FALLS which is returning to Sarasota after a sold-out performance at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Center.   

Written by Joao Machado and Lou Cutell, VIAGARA FALLS begins performances on December 29^th and runs through February 24^th with a special New Year’s Eve champagne celebration.  This new comedy features a trio of TV, stage and film veterans:  Lou Cutell (Betty White’s “Off Their Rockers”), Robert Pine (“CHIPS” and “Star Trek”) and Teresa Ganzel (The Johnny Carson Players). 

Charley and Moe are widowers, war buddies and life-long pals.  For his 77^th birthday, rather than sitting around listening to old records, Charley decides that he and Moe need one more crack at sowing some wild oats.  Moe is wary, but with the help of one loopy lady of the evening and some black market blue pills, Charley and Moe are in for the birthday party of their lives! 

Most are sure to remember LOU CUTELL (Charley) on “Seinfeld” playing the proctologist Dr. Cooperman, aka “The Assman” and more recently will be seen on Betty White’s upcoming “Off Their Rockers” premiering January 8^th on NBC. 

ROBERT PINE (Moe) is best known as Sgt. Joseph Getraer on the hit NBC television series “CHIPS” as well as “Star Trek: Voyager” and “Star Trek: Enterprise”. Among his other credits are “Six Feet Under”, “Beverly Hills 90210” and “Match Game”. 

TERESA GANZEL (Jaqueline Tempest) is often recognized for her numerous guest appearances and sketch work on “The Johnny Carson Show”.  She has guest-starred on countless television shows, from her first on “Three’s Company”, to more recent shows such as “Malcom in the Middle”.

VIAGARA FALLS features graphic and costume design by the legendary Bob Mackie with scenic design by Sydney Litwack.

Previews are December 29^th and 30^th with a discounted ticket of $25.00 per person.  Chef Caldwell is creating an exclusive menu for the run of VIAGARA FALLS that may be purchased separately. 

Tickets for New Years Eve are $40 per person which includes the show, champagne and favors. January 1^st – February 24^th tickets are $37.50 per person. 

The show schedule includes five matinees a week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  The doors open at 12:00PM with a 2:00PM curtain. 

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday matinees offer a special senior discount of $34.00 per person.  Evening shows are Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays – doors open at 6:00PM with a 7:30PM curtain.  Sundays offer a twilight showing at 6:00PM with the doors opening at 4:30PM.
