Visitors Bureau Now Known As Visit Sarasota County

The has changed its name to Visit Sarasota County.

The new corporate name will make it easier to find Sarasota County visitor information and will reduce confusion about its purpose.  It also makes it clear that the organization serves all of Sarasota County.

Organization President Virginia J. Haley, CDME, says the new name instantly identifies the organization's industry and business and ranks high in searches for Florida attractions, events and tourism businesses. And, simply put, in today’s fast-paced world of social media, three words are easier on Twitter than five. 

“Visit Sarasota County will allow us to better partner with Sarasota County businesses.  It will eliminate local confusion that the organization only deals with large businesses when in fact, small companies and non-profits are the backbone of the local tourism industry,” said Susan Danis, Board Chair of Visit Sarasota County and Executive Director of the .

Visit Sarasota County is the sales and marketing organization contracted by the Sarasota County Government to promote the growth of tourism in Sarasota County.
