Back To School: Construction Around Phillippi Shores Elementary

around will continue while school returns in session Monday and throughout the fall.

Drivers are urged to use caution as they navigate through the neighborhoods around the school.

Placement of new sidewalks, driveways and drainage structures along sections of Mill Terrace, Shade Avenue, Palm Terrace, Fiesta Drive and School Avenue are expected to continue for several weeks. 

According to Florida Department of Transportation officials, drivers should give themselves a little extra time in the morning to get children to school and themselves to work.

These construction activities may reduce traffic from two lanes to one lane at times. Motorists should watch for construction vehicles entering and exiting the construction zone.

The construction project is expected to be completed in fall 2012.
