Bargain Alert: Sarasota City Employees Set Garage Sale Date
City of Sarasota employees are cleaning out their closets and garages to benefit United Way.

SARASOTA, FL — Bargain hunters on the prowl for big sales might want to put a stop at Sarasota’s City Hall on their weekend agendas. The city has announced its second annual employee garage sale is set for Nov. 5.
The annual event will be staged at City Hall, 1565 First Street, in the First Street parking lot from 7 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the United Way.
"City of Sarasota employees will donate all the garage sale items, which will be in good condition and could include electronics, furniture, books, knick knacks and more,” the city explained in an email to media. “Items remaining at the end of the garage sale will be donated to Goodwill.”
