Boy, 14, Killed at Gun Range in Accidental Shooting, Says Investigators

Fatal shooting Sunday afternoon at High Noon Gun Range, according to Sarasota County Sheriff's Office.

SARASOTA, Fla. -- A 14-year-old died in an accidental shooting Sunday afternoon at a gun range, according to Sarasota County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded to the reported shooting at 3:45 p.m. at the High Noon Gun Range at 4583 Bee Ridge Road.

The victim, whose name has not been released, had been taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital. He died hours later due to his injuries, according to a statement by Lt. D. Barshinger.
