Burglary Call Turns Into Drug Bust
Detectives found five pounds of marijuana, $24,000 in cash, a Kel-Tec 9mm handgun, an ARMS AR-15 rifle at 7728 Holiday Drive in Sarasota.
Sarasota County Sheriff's deputies arrived at a Holiday Drive home early Friday for a potential burglary and left with a drugs and weapons bust.
Deputies arrived at 7728 Holiday Drive around 3 a.m. for a possible burglary, noticing there was a broken side window.
While searching for suspects, deputies saw drugs and weapons and exited the home to obtain a search warrant.

The resident, Dylan Knotts, 20, told detectives what they would find, and five pounds of marijuana, more than $24,000 in cash, a Kel-Tec 9mm handgun, an ARMS AR-15 rifle and drug paraphernalia were all recovered, according to the sheriff's office.
Knotts was booked into the Sarasota County Jail and charged with Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Sell and Possession of Narcotic Paraphernalia, according to sheriff's office.
