City To Enforce Parking At Whole Foods Garage

The two-hour and four-hour time limits at the Whole Foods Garage will be enforced.

You might see a parking ticket on your car if you take too long at in downtown Sarasota starting Sept. 1.

The City of Sarasota announced Thursday that it reached an agreement with developer Casto Properties to enforce parking in the Whole Foods/Second Street Garage and the on-street parking along First and Second streets.

Casto owns the garage and surrounding retail spaces, and signs have been posted concerning enforcement, according to the city.

Warnings will be issued to violators through August, then citations will be issued beginning Sept. 1.

The first floor of the Whole Foods/Second Street Garage, dedicated to Whole Foods shoppers, is limited to 2-hour parking.  The other floors have a 4-hour time limit without a parking permit.
