Summer is endless in Sarasota, and today's 88 degree temperatures isn't any different.
But one unmistakable sign of summer has arrived: Free Slurpee Day.
Visit one of the several 7-Eleven stores in Sarasota (you can't go more than a mile without running into one — see map to the right of this story) between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. today (Wednesday) and take home the chain's signature cold, slushy drink for free.

The annual marketing event coincides this year with the roll-out of a sugar-free version of the drink, the Fanta Sugar-free Mango flavor.
If "mango" is too ho-hum for your taste and you prefer a less obvious name-flavor relationship, there's always "Battle Fuel," "Blue Lightning Blast," and "Alienade."
