Deputies Shut Down Meth Lab

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is seeking information on who may have been running the illegal drug operation on Lucille Avenue.

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect or suspects who were operating a methamphetamine lab that deputies discovered Sunday night in Nokomis.

According to the Sarasota County Sheriff's office patrol deputies, responding to a 911 call about a possible illegal drug operation, found an "active" meth lab. The loctation was at the end of Lucille Avenue.

Deputies called in the Sarasota County Fired Department's Hazardous Materials Unit to remove the materials. Detectives are at the scene to find clues to who might have been operating the illegal drug lab.
