Driver Slammed Into Laundromat After Mistaking Gas Pedal For Brake: Sarasota Police
A driver hit the gas pedal instead of the brake sending their vehicle into a laundromat, Sarasota police said.

SARASOTA, FL — A driver slammed into a laundromat Tuesday morning after mistaking the gas pedal for the brake, Sarasota police shared in a social media post.
Officers responding to reports of a vehicle hitting a building in the 2000 block of Bahia Vista Street around 11:30 a.m.
When they arrived, they learned the driver pressed the gas instead of the brake and drove into the business, police said.

One person inside the laundromat was brought to a local hospital with injuries that weren’t considered life-threatening.
