Drug Bust At North Port Home Leads To 2 Arrests: Police

NORTH PORT, FL — Two people were arrested during a Friday morning drug bust, the North Port Police Department wrote in a Facebook post.

The Special Investigations Unit executed a search warrant for the sale of illegal drugs at a home on Winslow Lane, leading to the discovery of cocaine and a gun.

Timothy and Shantyl Florian were both arrested and charged with trafficking in cocaine and sale of cocaine.

Timothy was also charged with possession of a firearm by a felon.

Both are being held in Sarasota County Jail with no bond.

“We hope the message is loud and clear: illegal drugs have no place in North Port. We’re committed to keeping our community safe and illegal drugs off of the street,” Chief Todd Garrison said.
