Elderly Man Rescued From Submerged Vehicle
Witnesses saw the submerged vehicle and called 911. They did not realize that an occupant was still inside the car.
An elderly man was pulled from a submerged vehicle Tuesday and rushed to the hospital, the Sarasota County Sheriff reports.
The unidentified victim is listed in critical condition, after first responders found him inside a car floating in a pond. The pond is located off of Rivendell Boulevard and Oaks Meadow Lane in Osprey, near Pineview School.
Witnesses did not see the vehicle enter the pond but called 911 when they noticed it in the water.

Rescuers say that the man was the sole occupant in the vehicle.
