Father Charged in Bike Accident of 7-Year-Old

Florida Highway Patrol announced today that the father of a 7 will be charged in the accident.

Sergio Jackson, the father of Isiah Jackson, will be charged with child negligence, according to the Highway Patrol.

Thomas was crtically injured while riding his bike without a helmet, unsupervised, at Lockwood Ridge Road and University Parkway on Feb. 15. The boy was struck by a semi-truck that had attempted to stop but could't avoid Isiah, the Highway Patrol reported.

Isiah was transported to Bayfront Medical Center that day and is recovering from his injuries.
