FL Deputy Shot Self In Leg During Firearm Training: Sheriff
A deputy is recovering after accidentally shooting himself in the leg during annual firearm training, the Charlotte County sheriff said.
CHARLOTTE COUNTY, FL — A deputy is recovering after unintentionally shooting himself in the leg on Tuesday during annual firearm training, the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office wrote in a Facebook post.
The accidental shooting happened at the CCSO firing range and involved the deputy’s agency-issued gun.
The deputy was treated for his injury, which wasn’t life-threatening, and released from the hospital.
