Florida Home To 20 Best Small Cities For Startups: Report
Florida accounts for 20 of the top 50 small U.S. cities that are great places to start a business.
SARASOTA, FL — Florida accounts for 20 of the top 50 small U.S. cities that are great places to start a business, including three of the top 10 cities anywhere in the United States, according to a new study by Go.Verizon.com, an authorized online retailer of Verizon.
Sarasota ranked number two on the list followed by Coral Gables in third place and nearby Doral in fifth place.
"Sarasota, Coral Gables and Doral broke into our top 10 best small cities for small business because they had short commute times and a high number of businesses per capita," a spokesperson for Go.Verizon.com told patch. "Our study looked at close to 300 small cities across the entire country."

The website looked at population, percentage of the population with college degrees, commute times, average incomes, broadband access, loans per person and tax friendliness.
