DeSantis said the median age of people testing positive for the disease over the past two weeks has consistently ranged between 33 to 37.

"The number one cohort, by far, who have tested positive is that 25 to 34 age group," DeSantis said. "The clinical consequence of that are radically different than when you are talking about a resident of a long-term care facility, or when you are talking about somebody who may be in that 65 and up category, or who may have significant underlying medical issues.
