High Bacteria Levels Found At FL Beach; Water Advisory Issued
A water quality advisory was issued Thursday at a Sarasota County beach because of high bacteria levels, FL health officials said.

SARASOTA, FL — A water quality advisory was issued Thursday for a Sarasota beach by the Florida Department of Health in Sarasota County.
Tests completed on Monday show that water samples at North Lido Beach, 50 Benjamin Franklin Drive, exceed the level of Enterococcus bacteria recommended by state health officials, a news release said.
The county’s health department advises against any water-related activities at the beach because of increased risk of illness to swimmers.
