HuB Inviting Sarasota To Do The Harlem Shake
Goodbye Gangnman Style, there's a new dance in town and it's called the Harlem Shake. Sarasota can join in on Wednesday.
With a little shimmy and shake, the Harlem Shake was born and slowly since the song's release last year has built up into a dance craze that busted across the country this past week.
Now it's Sarasota's turn to shake, shimmy, shuffle or whatever you're exactly supposed to do during the dance. Sarasota HuB is inviting Sarasota to come do a Harlem Shake video from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, inside the HuB building, 1680 Fruitville Rd.
The HuB is requesting people RSVP via Eventbrite to get a good guestimate of how many people will shake what their momma gave them. The only requirement is that you bring a prop.

It's not really a dance, per se, but more of a random gyration of your limbs, maybe mixed into a shuffle and having a ridiculous costume or prop is never a bad idea.
Every place and everywhere has done some sort of Harlem Shuffle this week after morning news shows covered the dance. The Daily Show has their own, kind of, Jimmy Fallon, Portland, and even my hometown of Hagerstown, Md.
