Officers subsequently detained three juvenile boys for questioning.
Juveniles are also suspected in a Monday night shooting incident in which eight to 10 gunshots rang out in the 1900 block of 32nd Street. No injuries were reported in the earlier incident.
"They're kids again. It's troubling," Konstantopoulos acknowledged of the apartment complex shooting. "It's something that we definitely are concerned about as a police department and certainly we know that the community has the same concerns."
He said the initial call related to Tuesday's incident was reported as a possible robbery with a gunshot but police were unable to immediately confirm whether a robbery took place.
