Longtime Sarasota Business Persnickity Cat Closes

A longtime Sarasota clothing and accessory store, , has called it quits after 26 years of service.

A Patch reader had passed by noticing the shop had closed and was sad to see it go. It turns out the shop's final day was March 31, according to the store's Facebook page:

A new chapter begins... Again, thank you for your 26 years of loyal patronage. The start of a new adventure... "Be happy for this moment, this moment is your life." Keep in touch.

Another message said it was "time to say farewell."

The store was operated by mother and daughter Karen and Kirsten Schmidt and Harry the Handsome Shoppe Cat.

Folks might have seen the 2300 Bee Ridge Road store frequently set up at the , too.
