Man Called ‘The Shark’ Charged In Child Porn Case
A phone left behind at a party led to the arrest of a Sarasota man on possession of child pornography charges.

SARASOTA, FL — A 56-year-old Sarasota man faces possession of child pornography charges after deputies say a concerned woman turned his LG cellphone over to authorities. That phone contained photos and videos of children as young as 5 engaged in sexual activities, an arrest report said.
According to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, its investigation into Milton Raymon Salgado-Banuche’s alleged illegal activities began on Aug. 21 when his phone was delivered to detectives. Authorities met with the woman who turned the phone in on Aug. 22, and learned she found it after Salgado-Banuche left it behind following a get together. Salgado-Banuche, the arrest report said, was driven home by the woman’s niece and the phone was later discovered. When she looked at the phone, she found child pornography on it, the arrest report said.
The woman also told detectives Salgado-Banuche’s behavior over the past few years has been concerning.

“Her children and other family members’ children, all females, reported inappropriate touching by the defendant,” the report said. The children gave him “the nickname ‘the shark’ due to the fact every time they went in the pool, the defendant would follow them and grab them,” the report noted.
