Man Found Dead After Fruitville Road House Fire
Sarasota County Sheriff's Office believes the man, Mark Roberts Taylor, died due to medical reasons, and the fire was probably caused by a lit cigarette.
Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is continuing an investigation of a Friday night house fire that killed a 53-year-old man.
A fire broke out at around 9:50 p.m. on the 5400 block of Fruitville Road, where the Sarasota County Fire Department discovered the body of Mark Roberts Taylor, inside the home. Taylor had no listed address.
The medical examiner told the sheriff's office in a preliminary report that the death appears to be due to medical reasons, and the fire department believes the fire was incidental, probably started by a lit cigarette, the sheriff's office said.
