Man Found Dead Near Sarasota Lake

SARASOTA, FL — The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a person found at the edge of a small lake near the 4200 block of McIntosh Lane Thursday afternoon.

According to the agency, reports about the body came in around 12:18 p.m. Oct. 6. A deceased man was found near the lake’s edge, the agency wrote in an email to media.

“At this time, no identity has been made nor do detectives have any indication of how long the individual has been there,” the email said.
