Maserati Now Selling Cars In Sarasota

Wilde Automotive is now selling the $100,000 Italian sports car Maserati at its Clark Road dealership.

Sarasota's luxury car market just got a little richer — and faster.

is now selling Maserati sports cars at its 4821 Clark Road location, the dealership announced. 

Wilde posted a video in July of Maseratis coming off the trucks into its dealership to help create buzz of the roadsters coming to Sarasota.

The Italian luxury sports car starts out at $131,000. 

Wilde's president told The Herald-Tribune he is excited:

"We are very excited to bring Maserati's high performance grand touring cars and luxury sport sedans to Sarasota," said Mark Wilde, president of Wilde Automotive.

Before the Sarasota dealership, the closest Maserati dealership was in Tampa.

Maserati was transferred from ownership by Ferrari to Fiat in 2005, according to Maserati's website. Fiat and Alfa Romeo share some components and work, accoridng to the website, and that relationship will lead to work for a Mazda partnership as well, according to a BBC report.

Fiat also owns Chrysler.
