McDonald's Offers Free Breakfast for Students Monday
Stop by a Sarasota McDonald's location for a free meal before the FCATs begin April 16.

McDonald’s locations across Florida will serve a free breakfast to public school students on the first day of the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT), Monday, April 16.
Students in grades three through 11 will receive a complimentary Egg McMuffin, apple slices and choice of 1 percent low-fat white milk, fat-free chocolate milk or orange juice at any participating McDonald’s location.
The only stipulation is that the child has to be present to receive the breakfast. In years past, teachers have stopped in asking to get breakfast for their students to take to school for them, however the restaurant cannot honor those requests.

“Whether students eat at home, at their school or at McDonald’s, it’s important for children to eat breakfast as it may improve performance at school,” Cindy Goody, PhD, Senior Director of Nutrition for McDonald’s USA told RestaurantNews.com
A breakfast that includes food groups such as fruits, whole grains, low-fat dairy products and protein provide children with much-needed energy to start the day, Goody said.
