SARASOTA COUNTY, FL — Within days of issuing no-swim advisories Thursday at two Sarasota County beaches, both warnings have been lifted, according to Florida Department of Health news releases.

The advisory at Siesta Beach was lifted Friday, while the notice for Casperson Beach was lifted Saturday, the agency said.

Routine water samples at both beaches showed high levels of enterococcus bacteria, leading to the no-swim advisories.

Follow-up water testing showed satisfactory levels of the bacteria at Siesta Key and Casperson. The levels meet both the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and state recreational water standards, FDOH said.

Residents and visitors may return to swimming and other water sports at these beaches.
