Palmer Ranch SunTrust Bank Robbed

Suspect was last seen running southbound across Clark Road from the bank at 5727 Gannt Road.

Investigators hope that the public can identify a robber through surveillance photographs released today.

A Palmer Ranch Suntrust Bank, 5727 Gantt Road, was robbed at 2:15 p.m. Monday, June 4 when a man entered the branch and brandished a knife demanding money from a teller, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office.

The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of money. He was last seen running southbound across Clark Road, according to the sheriff's office.

The man is described as a white male, 5’10” with thin, sandy cropped hair, and a tattoo with “blocked lettering” on his stomach. He was wearing blue jeans, a brown long sleeve t-shirt, camouflage baseball cap, a black bandana over his face, and black gloves. He was also carrying a nylon bag.
