Parrish Man Won't Be Charged for Growing Marijuana
A Parrish man will not be prosecuted for his backyard marijuana plants, which he cultivates for his wife, who suffers from ALS.
Prosecutors will not press charges against a Parrish man growing marijuana for his wife, who suffers from Lou Gehrig's disease, according to MySuncoast.com.
The State Attorney's Office declined to bring charges against Robert Jordan,
64, because it is believed he could successfully mount a medical necessity defense in court.
According to MySuncoast.com: The State Attorney's Office says her doctor verified the use of the drug helps with her condition.

The Jordans' made the news after their home was raided by the Manatee
County Sheriff's Office in February. At the time, the plants were confiscated and the case was referred to prosecutors.
