A 46-year-old Sarasota woman was killed in a Monday night crash.

SARASOTA, FL — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal Monday night crash that claimed the life of a Sarasota woman.

According to the agency, Dawn Harrison, 51, of Sarasota was driving a Chevrolet eastbound on Clark Road just after 7 p.m. Feb. 21. At that time, she was in the right lane, approaching the intersection with Rockefeller Avenue, a highway patrol report said.

Troopers say Heather Hannon, 46, of Sarasota was walking south across Clark Road, just west of the Rockefeller Avenue intersection as Harrison's vehicle approached. Hannon, the report said, crossed into Harrison’s path and was struck by the vehicle.
