Priority List Members Have Inside Access to Emerson Lakes
Robert and Diana Levin joined Emerson Lakes' Priority List to learn more about the community and be prepared when they are ready to move.

Robert and Diana Levin love their three-bedroom, three-bath house in The Lake Club, a single-family home community in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.
However, they recognize that their house may not always support their lifestyle in retirement. "Life changes quickly, and we want to be prepared," says Robert. "So, we started looking for our next home."
At Emerson Lakes, an Erickson Senior Living community under construction in Lakewood Ranch, it's easy for prospective residents--like the Levins--to learn more about the community's maintenance-free residences and array of amenities.

Exploring their options

After receiving a postcard from Emerson Lakes and learning that a neighbor had already reserved a residence there, Robert and Diana decided to do their own research.
"We don't have children to take care of us, so we knew we would need to be in a place where people could look after us," explains Robert.
When Emerson Lakes opens next year, so will its on-campus medical center, which residents can visit for wellness exams, flu shots, tests, and screenings. As a continuing care retirement community, Emerson Lakes will also offer a continuum of care in the future, meeting a range of health needs.
The Levins, happy to hear about the levels of care that will be available at the community, decided to join the Priority List. In addition to saving their spot in line for their desired floor plan, they received invitations to educational and social events to help them learn more.
"We wanted to be on the list so we can get in when we are ready," says Robert.
Since becoming members, they have attended several events, where they heard about the many amenities and activities that will be part of Emerson Lakes' vibrant lifestyle.
Priority Lisk perks
"Prospective residents appreciate that it's an immersive, risk-free way to learn more about Emerson Lakes," says Fletcher. "It's important to gather as much information as you can. That's the best way to determine if a community is right for you."
Many members find the Q&A-style events featuring leaders from different departments--like Dining Services, General Services, and Resident Life--to be very insightful. Other events highlight the amenities and different floor plans planned for the community.
"Priority List members are also invited to social events, where they can meet others who are interested in Emerson Lakes and find out why they, too, are considering a move," says Fletcher. "The events also enable members to hear questions posed by others that they may not have contemplated themselves."
But Fletcher notes that the biggest advantage of becoming a member is the right of first refusal on available homes.
"Joining the Priority List holds your spot in line until you are ready to move," he explains. "There's no need to lock in a timeline or a floor plan if you don't want to, but it's best to plan ahead. Interest in Emerson Lakes remains high!"
In fact, Emerson Lakes' first three residence buildings are close to being completely reserved.
Quite impressed
The Levins have researched other communities and found that Emerson Lakes seems to be the right choice for them.
"Nothing else has looked as nice as what Emerson Lakes is going to be," Robert says. "It's the only thing I've seen in this area that looks like a place I'd want to be!"
The Levins, married for more than 40 years, travel quite a bit, so they love the idea of living in one of Emerson Lakes' maintenance-free residences, where they can simply lock and go.
Currently, they hire contractors to care for their lawn and make needed repairs inside their house. At Emerson Lakes, the grounds will be meticulously landscaped by the General Services team, which will also handle all repairs and maintenance in residents' homes in a timely manner.
In addition to a worry-free lifestyle, Robert and Diana are excited about the community's amenities. Diana is a pickleball enthusiast and plays mah-jongg, both of which she'll be able to do at Emerson Lakes. Robert is drawn to the community's outdoor pool. Together, they play bocce, so they're looking forward to joining a group of players at Emerson Lakes.
"Emerson Lakes sounds like it will be very well run," Robert says. "I think it's going to be a beautiful community, and we will be happy to be there."
