Sarasota Cops Get New Phone Number: Jot This Down Now

SARASOTA, FL — If you ever think you might need to call the Sarasota Police Department you may want to jot down the agency's new telephone number.

"Effective immediately, the new phone number for the Sarasota Police Department is 941-263-6773," explained the agency's Genevieve Judge. "Old numbers for the agency will no longer work."

That's because the city of Sarasota switched phone companies and received updated equipment with new numbers for every extension at the Sarasota Police Department.

"Dispatch, which is run by the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, will not have a number change and the non-emergency number will remain 941-316-1201," said Judge.
