Sarasota Cops Host National Night Out With Monster Trucks
Sarasota police will host a National Night Out on Tuesday with monster trucks, bomb squad robots and more.

SARASOTA, FL — Sarasota police will host a National Night Out on Tuesday with monster trucks, bomb squad robots and more. The fun starts at 5:30 p.m. and runs to 7:30 p.m. outside police headquarters.
"This free family event is open to everyone: Residents, citizens, visitors and community members are invited to spend time with neighbors and police officers," explained the agency's Genevieve Judge. "There will be monster trucks, K-9 demonstrations, bomb squad robots, emergency vehicles, junior SWAT challenge, high school drumline competition, face painting, child safety kits, forensics, free food and beverages."
National Night Out celebrations are intended to strengthen the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement officers while promoting a stronger sense of community.

"It provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances," said Judge.
