Sarasota Cops identify Man Seen In Video With Baby
Sarasota police have identified the man who walked into a pawn shop with a baby.

SARASOTA, FL — Sarasota police have identified the man who walked into a pawn shop with a baby Tuesday and made statements that caused an employee of the business to worry about the child's safety.
"The man in the video has been identified. The baby has been located and is safe," said Lt. Robert Armstrong of the Sarasota Police Department early Wednesday morning. "This investigation remains ongoing at this time."
Sarasota police earlier released surveillance video of the man and asked for the public's help in finding him.

"It’s unknown the relationship between the man on the video and the child," Armstrong said.

The incident happened around 5:15 pm at A&F Pawn Jewelry and Loan, 1155 North Washington Boulevard in Sarasota.
"The employee was concerned for the safety of the child and contacted the Sarasota Police Department based on statements the male made during the contact with the clerk while he was in the store," said Armstrong.
