Sarasota High Stages 'Scarlet Pimpernel' Musical
'Scarlet Pimpernel' runs Wednesday through Saturday at Sarasota High School Auditorium

students will perform the musical ‘The Scarlet Pimpernel’ nightly at 7 p.m., tonight through Saturday, at the SHS auditorium, with an additional matinee performance at 2 p.m., Saturday.
The play is a classic story of romance, intrigue and adventure, based on a novel by Baroness Emmuska Orczy. Sir Percy Blakeney, an Englishman known as the Scarlet Pimpernel, is a 17th century equivalent of a modern day superhero. The plot moves from the guillotines of Paris to the Royal Palace in London, as the elusive Pimpernel eludes French authorities with his wit and clever disguises to rescue victims from the Reign of Terror and crusade for justice during the French Revolution.
