Sarasota Man Accused Of Sexual Battery
A 38-year-old Sarasota man has been charged with sexual battery.

SARASOTA, FL -- A 38-year-old Sarasota man has been charged with sexual battery. Christopher Lind was arrested in connection with the incident that occurred earlier this month.
"The victim reported that she was sexually assaulted at the suspect’s apartment," said Genevieve Judge of the Sarasota Police Department in announcing the arrest on Wednesday. "The suspect was later identified at Lind."
Judge said the woman told police she went to Lind's apartment to meet her friend on March 8. "The victim said they all went out for the evening and at the end of the evening they returned to Lind’s apartment," according to Judge.

"The victim told detectives she fell asleep in a guest bedroom and woke up to Lind assaulting her," Judge explained. "The victim reported the sexual assault to law enforcement the next morning."
Lind was arrested and taken to Sarasota County Jail. He later bonded out of jail.
