SARASOTA, FL — Thirty-four-year-old Brian Ceo's wardrobe choice did not exactly convince police of his innocence Wednesday when they took him into custody on burglary charges.

"At the time of his arrest, he was wearing the same clothing seen in surveillance footage," the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office said Friday in announcing the arrest.

Now, Ceo of the 1100 block of Hancock Avenue in Sarasota, is facing two counts of burglary of an unoccupied structure, according to the sheriff's office.

"During an interview, Ceo admitted to committing burglaries in the area," the sheriff's office said. Police believe Ceo is the man they saw on surveillance video using a cinder block to smash the front doors of the two businesses.

Once inside, he is accused of taking $170 in cash, three cases of beer, 17 packs of cigarettes and even a cash register.

"Through investigation, detectives were able to track him down with support from Longboat Key and Sarasota Police Departments," the sheriff's office said.

Ceo was taken to the Sarasota County Correctional Facility on $3,000 bond. Police said additional charges are pending.
