SARASOTA, FL -- A Sarasota County school bus driver was cited for careless driving Thursday after the bus she was driving struck a car at a stop sign.

Sixty-one-year-old Ethel Ferebee of Osprey struck a Camry at Pine Ranch East Road and Oak Bay Drive, according to Sgt. Jeff Rongish of the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around 3:46 p.m.

The bus was carrying 23 children at the time of the incident but none of them were injured, Rongish said.

The school bus was heading south on Oak Bay Drive approaching Pine Ranch East Road while the driver of the Camry was stopped on Pine Ranch East Road.

Rongish said the left rear of the bus struck the Camry as Ferebee turned onto Pine Ranch East Road.

The driver of the Camry was identified as 51-year-old Gloria Ceinski, also of Osprey. She was not injured.
