UPDATE: Shooting Incident Remains Under Investigation
Gunfire erupted around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday in the 2900 block of Gillespie Avenue.

No arrests have been made in connection with a Wednesday night shooting incident that left a 16-year-old boy injured, Sarasota Police said Thursday.
The boy, whose identity was not released by police, was not shot directly but injured after someone opened fire around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday night outside a home in the 2900 block of Gillespie Avenue, officials said.
Detectives found two vehicles and two homes with bullet holes in them.
Police did question and later arrest man who was driving a green Toyota that matched the description of a vehicle witnesses saw leaving the scene. The vehicle had two bullet holes in it, according to an arrest affidavit.
Jamille Brown, 20, was charged with driving without a valid license, police said. He was booked at Sarasota County Jail.

Earlier:Sarasota Police are investigating after a 16-year-old boy was shot while standing outside a home Wednesday night.
Officers heard gunshots around 9:45 p.m. in the 2900 block of Gillespie Avenue, where officials say the boy and several other people had been gathered in a front yard.
Officers arrived to find the boy had been shot "in the wrist area" and that a vehicle and a duplex had been damaged by gunfire. The boy was "uncooperative" and did not reside at the home where the shooting occurred, according to a media release.
An update on his injuries or condition was not immediately available.
Police later stopped a green Toyota Camry that matched the description of a vehicle witnesses reported seeing leave the area. The car, pulled over on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, had fresh bullet holes in it, a police spokesperson said. Its sole occupant was taken in by police for questioning.
The investigation is ongoing.
