Sarasota Stabbing Under Investigation
One man is hospitalized with serious injuries following a Monday morning stabbing in Sarasota.

SARASOTA, FL — The Sarasota Police Department is investigating a Monday morning stabbing that sent one man to the hospital with serious injuries.
According to the agency, officers were called to the 1100 block of Central Avenue around 11:30 a.m. April 3 after receiving a report about an altercation between two adult males. When they arrived on the scene, “they found that one male individual had stabbed the other,” an email from police said.
Detectives were still interviewing witnesses Monday afternoon, the agency reported. They had not yet been able to speak with the victim, the agency noted.

The man, who is not being identified at this time, was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The other man, police say, is cooperating with officers. His name is also not being released at this time.
