Sarasota Woman Critically Injured in Hit-And-Run Crash
A 61-year-old pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Tuesday night along Gulf Gate Drive.

SARASOTA, FL — The Florida Highway Patrol is looking for help identifying a motorist who struck a woman on Gulf Gate Drive Tuesday night and then fled the scene.
According to the agency, Lynn Taylor, 61, was walking on Gulf Gate Drive around 7:43 p.m. Oct. 18 in the area of Mobile Gate Drive. At some point on her walk, a vehicle struck her and its driver took off, leaving the injured woman behind.
Troopers say Taylor was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
